Children's Right

National Children's month is celebrated in November in the Philippines every year. This month-long celebration aims to give Filipino children access to a healthy environment, good education, and healthcare. Dr. Jose Rizal, the Philippines national hero, once said that the youth is the future of the nation, and investing  in children is key for the betterment of the next generation. This holiday also comes from a place of empathy. As a third-world country, most families struggle financially, and it's the children who suffer the most. This month highlights the ways we can help and support them.

We influence the government to ensure that quality programs and services for the protection of children are widely available and can reach children. We also help improve the knowledge, skills and attitudes of service providers, schools and enable them to protect children in emergency and non-emergency contexts. However, none of these efforts will have positive effects without the participation and support of children, parents, caregivers, teachers and the public. Thus, we make the public aware of what violence against children is and how it happens. We encourage and organize individuals and groups to support our advocacy for child protection. Together, we are hoping that these efforts will bring us closer to achieving for our children a future that is free from violence.

In conclusion, if we protect children from all forms of violence. Then All children deserve to experience life in all its fullness, and we strive to ensure that the most vulnerable children enjoy a proper childhood. Only when children feel safe in their homes and communities are they able to flourish and realize their potential.
