Traditionally, on Valentine's Day, you express your love for another person by sending cards, gifts, and notes. Couples exchange cards or presents, but you can also send something anonymously to someone you secretly love.

Valentine's Day, like most major holidays, may inspire feelings of affection and bonding for some while making others feel particularly sad and lonely. Most of us have encountered both at some point in our lives. When a love relationship ends, a variety of feelings may occur, including sadness and depression.
